Scripture says:
“For the message of
the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing,
but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
For it is written:
but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
For it is written:
“I will destroy the
wisdom of the wise;
the intelligence of
the intelligent I will frustrate.”
Where is the wise
man? Where is the scholar?
Where is the philosopher of this age?
Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?
For since in the wisdom of God
the world through its wisdom did not know him,
God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached
to save those who believe.
Jews demand miraculous signs and Greeks look for wisdom,
but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block for Jews
and foolishness to Gentiles, but to those whom God has called,
both Jews and Greeks, Christ (is) the power of God and the wisdom of God.
For the foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom,
and the weakness of God is stronger than man’s strength. “

1 Corinthians 1: 18-25
Scripture says:
“And we have the word
of the prophets made more certain,
and you will do well to pay attention to it,
as to a light shining in a dark place,
until the day dawns and the morning star rise in your hearts.
and you will do well to pay attention to it,
as to a light shining in a dark place,
until the day dawns and the morning star rise in your hearts.
Above all, you must
understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about
by the prophet’s own interpretation.
For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man,
but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. “

2 Peter 1: 19-20
Scripture says:
“No longer will there
be any curse. The throne of God and of
the Lamb
will be in the city, and his servants will serve him.
They will see his face and his name will be on their foreheads.
There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp
or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light.
And they will reign forever and ever.
will be in the city, and his servants will serve him.
They will see his face and his name will be on their foreheads.
There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp
or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light.
And they will reign forever and ever.
The angel said to me,
“These words are trustworthy and true.
The Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets,
sent his angel to show his servants the things that must soon take place.”

Revelation 22: 3-6
Scripture says:
“I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for
the churches.
I am the Root and the Offspring of David,
and the bright Morning Star.”
I am the Root and the Offspring of David,
and the bright Morning Star.”
“The Spirit and the bride,
say, “Come!”
And let him who hears say, ”Come!”
Whoever is thirsty, let him come;
and whoever wishes,
let him take the free gift of the water of life.
And let him who hears say, ”Come!”
Whoever is thirsty, let him come;
and whoever wishes,
let him take the free gift of the water of life.
