Dear Reader- This Blog started in February of 2011 and the pages are numbered. Please begin reading on Page One and continue from there. As you move down the path of the pages it is my hope that scripture astounds you and God, Himself, is revealed.

Scripture confirms that if you acknowledge God as God and draw close to His truths He will draw close to you! As you get to know God through scripture you will begin to see Him work in your life AND hear Him speak to your heart. It is not an audible voice but an inner one-that will change your life on earth...and beyond!

To walk a little deeper each page has a song recommendation that deepens the spiritual lesson. Each song has been specifically chosen and holds a message that should not be missed. If there is not a link to the song on the page, it is recommended that you use iTunes, YouTube or another source to download these songs so that you can move deeper into spiritual truths that the song writers and musicians have creatively written about- for your blessing and God's glory!

Obedience is an Act of Worship! Page 64


Here is a new concept for me.....

OBEDIENCE IS AN ACT OF WORSHIP!

We think of singing or praying as an act of worship....
but we need to realize that we can worship the Lord through OBEDIENCE.

We need to remember that it is an honor to walk in God’s ways…
In other words, it's an honor to OBEY the Lord!
We are not forced…we get to chose.
Obedience is the act of choosing well.
In doing so, we worship well.

Sometimes following God’s decrees is hard.
Sometimes it doesn’t make sense…
Sometimes we can’t hear His directives…
And sometimes we won’t hear.

But when we humble ourselves
And literally get into a posture of surrender
Even a surrender that says
“Lord, I don’t know what to do or how to do this!”
The lord honors that…and rises to show deep compassion!
For we just spoke truth…
And TRUTH sets our hurting hearts and tempestuous minds free!

Scripture says
“Lord, We do not know what to do but our eyes are upon You.”
II Chronicles 20:12

That is all it takes to be obedient.
That is all it takes to honor the Lord 
for with these words we step into the will of God.
With this humble prayer
our hearts cry out to Abba with words that weep the desire to obey.

Set your eyes upon the Lord with a true desire to obey
and His eyes will lock upon yours…
For scripture says:

“The eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth
to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him.”
II Chronicles 19:9

"The lord longs to be gracious to you.  He rises to show you compassion. 
 The Lord is a god of justice. 
Blessed are those who wait upon him."
Isaiah 38:18

 “Lift up your eyes and see that heaven is closer than you know.”
