"Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in it's various forms. If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God." I Peter 4: 10-11

Dear Reader- This Blog started in February of 2011 and the pages are numbered. Please begin reading on Page One and continue from there. As you move down the path of the pages it is my hope that scripture astounds you and God, Himself, is revealed.

Scripture confirms that if you acknowledge God as God and draw close to His truths He will draw close to you! As you get to know God through scripture you will begin to see Him work in your life AND hear Him speak to your heart. It is not an audible voice but an inner one-that will change your life on earth...and beyond!

To walk a little deeper each page has a song recommendation that deepens the spiritual lesson. Each song has been specifically chosen and holds a message that should not be missed. If there is not a link to the song on the page, it is recommended that you use iTunes, YouTube or another source to download these songs so that you can move deeper into spiritual truths that the song writers and musicians have creatively written about- for your blessing and God's glory!

Still, I will hope in Him! Page 41

In the Book of Job Scripture says:

The Lord gives and the Lord takes away.
  Though he slay me still I will hope in Him!

 This scripture declares a strong stance of faith.  It also reveals a place of desperation.  With life and death all around us this “give and take” is a human reality!  With that realization, this scripture is an understatement!

We all know that life “gives and takes”.  This Scripture is easily half true.  What about that second half?  With the truth that death holds an appointment with each of us we must make peace with the fact that something will, one day, surely slay us!  In what have you placed your hope?   This, my friend, is a pivotal question.  As for me, I put my hope in the above scripture’s Sword Wielder!

 Who is this Lord?  Is it possible that he would slay his own?  Should I have hope in him?  Why would I if, indeed, he is as the above scripture describes?

He is exactly as described and more.  The Holy Bible says  “In the beginning God created the heaven and earth”.  He is the Architect of all there is; of science, of physics, of philosophy, of religion. He is an intellect and an artist.  He is described as a Lord of Justice; a god of compassion.  He is also a Commander of an army of angels, a god of mercy and the spiritual savior of this world!  The First and the Last;  The invisible God, as well as a human named Jesus! Unbelievably, I stand in His presence everyday …and though you may not realize it or admit it, so do you!  Nature is His nature; Creation is His voice!

Are you, perhaps, looking for understanding regarding my puzzling statements?  If so, look up!  Realize that out beyond all you can see sits a universe of the unfathomable.  Scientists say this is so, and surely it is.  Within this scientific conclusion one could say “there is room for an unfathomable creator, known as God, who reigns in another realm called Heaven.”  The Bible speaks of this and my belief system says it’s so!  What say you?

Living in a world this vast within a human form that is this intricate I do not doubt I had a divine creator.  Ancient documents point Him out as the Lord, God!  With my mortal body I step into the spiritual and admit that this God, my God, gives and takes away!  With all I am and all I read that He is…. I can boldly say “Though he slay me still I will hope in Him”.  I have this amazing hope for you as well!

Don’t miss out on this mystery for in it you will find the fascinating!

“He is the image of the invisible God,
the firstborn over all creation.
 For by him all things were created;
 things in heaven and on earth,
 visible and invisible,
whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities;
 all things were created by him and for him.
 He is before all things and in him all things hold together.”
Colossians 1: 15-17
